More than one fold in fact seven folds.

The challenge on TIOT this week is more than one fold (challenge found here ) so I was able to use my little boxes card.

There are seven folds on it, its not my idea, I have made a smaller version which I have worked the measurements out for,I am planning to do a video tutorial for it at some point in the near future.

This card was also published in a magazine here in the UK.

Thanks for looking, hugs Bee

TIOT Challenge Birthday With A Twist

Today's challenge at TIOT here, is using a mask on a birthday project be sure to visit our DT projects for inspiration.

As you will know from the blog,I am celebrating a very special birthday this week and have a small prize for all that leave a comment here and post an entry on TIOT for this challenge if you give me your entry number I can go and look at your entry.  I will post worldwide.

This is my offering, it is called a bendy card I may attempt another one sometime, if you want a go there is a great tutorial here on you tube.

The masking is the clouds at the back, I made my own stencil and then used distressed inks. The stamps are from CC called " Around the World",  these are some places I would like to see.  I stamped the images with Espresso Truffle by Memento and then inked the edges with Frayed Burlap after I had fussy cut them. The happy birthday was cut from a die that was  a freebie from a magazine.

Here's a overhead view

Here's a view of the back.

Thank you for looking.

DT Challenge Handmade on TIOT

The challenge today, is to make a project showing handwriting wow was that a task ( I cannot believe I used to do wedding invitations etc and received training as a Calligrapher, sadly since my illness developed I cannot do it anymore.)

That said I enjoyed giving it a try, but the writing is nothing to write home about hee hee.

I made two, cards in a box, have found a lovely tutorial showing you how to get two cards out of one A4 sheet tutorial here.

I used the stamp set from the creative stamping magazine called Timeless Opulence, I love it, my daughter went yuck until she saw them stamped now she likes them.

I also used a old piece of Stampin up paper both sides and a new Stampin up stamp.
Sorry the rest is picture heavy.

Here comes the handwriting

A last look at the cards

This travel journal is made from three sheets of 12x12 card and decorated with papers from my stash, the cover is covered with printed acetate with map paper underneath.  I have not included instructions as there are lots for squash books on the Internet.  I used  Washi tape on the project, the first time I have used it.

In with the new TIOT challenge

Although I am writing this in 2013 it will be posted in 2014 so Happy New Year to everyone.

I persuaded Father Christmas to make an early call as I will somewhere  other than home at Christmas.  So he bought me the envelope punch, a Stampin up one.  I made the following for my lovely crafting friends as small tokens at Christmas.  The papers are from Stampin up Christmas collection,  and my stash, and the images are from Studio 12 CD Rom Gingerbread Twist from Polka  Doodles.

Please be gentle with me, as I know most you will be a little fed with Christmas, but of  course you could do these projects in any papers and for lots of occasions.

I love this new product, lots more playing with to come.  Hugs Bee

Cute card Thursday Challenge

Challenge 301 - Anything Goes! I thought I would enter this challenge, as the Christmas card I made for my daughter has a really cute image on it.  The challenges is found here.

The image is a Mo Manning stamp from Hero Arts.
I used pro markers for the colouring, and paper piecing for the dress and real lace for the underskirt and lots of glitter.

I have a confession to make this card took me all day to make, my excuse is I was at a Christmas Fuddle with my crafting buddies so there was a lot of eating and talking to be done as well.

Thanks for looking Bee

My DT offering for TIOT challenge.

Today's challenge is trees I had two cards and could not decided which one to use, so the post on TIOT will be as much a surprise to me as you.

They are very different cards the top one is done on acetate and modern in style the other is much more traditional.

Christmas Joy to you all Bee

Long time no see

I have not posted a DT project for quite a while, so I am back with my project for the TIOT challenge, hand made flowers.  I ought to explain that I have not posted for a while because I was getting nasty comments left on my blog posts and they were scattered throughout the blog. it was very upsetting but hopefully it has been sorted now.

This little box was made for a kind friend who has been ferrying me to and from my son's when I kitty sit.

The tin is one of those tins that hold those travel sweeties, which I have re-purposed as a

pin cushion.

Here's a side view of the tin.
I cannot remember where the digital image is from sorry and the papers are a really old collection, the flowers are felt made with Tim Holtz tattered flowers die.

Thank you so much for looking, I really appreciate it, hugs Bee

We want to see some metal is the challenge on TIOT.

This is my DT card for this challenge.  It was interesting thinking what metal I could use, so I have taken a punt at the challenge, I used metal coloured  pro markers on the image, which do contain a little metal, and the flowers are made from aluminum.  They were not easy to die cut my daughter tells me, she used the Tim Holtz's tattered flowers die.

The image is a Dilly Beans one, so cute.  The card design is from the paper crafts design library, I recently use this shape on a commission.

Thanks for looking.  Hugs Bee

From this to that my blog post for SSS DT post

I was think about up cycling because of our monthly challenge on Skipton Craft Club.  So I up cycled this
 to this
The story book is an a great vehicle to show off the Bestie images  which you can choose from here on SSS blog.

The idea with the book was to provide something that a child could develop how they wanted, so it is a work in progress as I don't have any little ones only very big ones, I will try to find a little one to do the finishing touches.  That is why the images are not fully finished and the pages don't have any finishing touches.

Here's the inside pictures, the labels are for the stories to be written on maybe as the colouring is done, the story could be told and written down.

Here's the close ups of the images.

And the back of the book.

Do think about doing your own.
